HILLARY'S HOPE

MAJOR UPDATE:
Hillary is scheduled to have a second total hip
replacement on the previous replacement, August
19th 2009. This will be done in Charlotte, NC.
Please keep her in your thoughts. :)
April 29th 2006: Early in the morning on her
way home Hillary was involved in a fatal
head-on collision with another vehicle. The
accident occurred on Hwy 105 in front of
Appalachain Angler.  The other driver was
killed instantly. Hillary was air lifted to
Johnson City Medical Center in Tennessee
with life threatening injuries. Please pray
for the family of the other driver, we can
only imagine their devastation. It is now
known the other driver had been drinking.

Hillary has extensive injuries in the pelvic
area and legs, in which she has undergone
a 7 1/2 hour surgery on Saturday. They
placed screws and pins in both hips and a
rod in one femur. As one can imagine with
an accident this severe, her entire pelvic
area has suffered severe damage that only
time can heal.  She has broken ribs on both
sides of her body, with lacerations to her
liver and spleen.  At this time she is
breathing on a ventilator.  She also has
facial injuries which consist of a severe
laceration along her browline and nose, a
hairline fracture to her jaw, and a fractured
hyoid bone.  These are her most serious
injuries at this time.  
Hillary is our daughter, sister,
granddaughter, niece, my mom,
and our friend. Her spirit is bright
and her strength to survive and
get better is so strong. Please pray
for her and give her your best
wishes to recover from this painful
and devastating accident.

Hillary and her 6 year old daughter (now 9)
Indi. Due to her serious injuries and the
long road of healing, any financial donation
will be greatly needed and appreciated.  It
has been 3yrs since the accident and she
still is unable to work. She is undergoing a
second hip replacement. She has been
denied disablitly and it is in appeal. You
